Skill Made Easy Life

By Huma Aslam | Project Leader

I am Fatima daughter of late Ali and 18 years old having education level just matric. In my family, we are 7 members with just one earning person i.e. my mother who use to sale groceries for ladies use in the home, the rest of brothers and sisters are of age 5 to 15 years only. My father passed away some 3 years ago in a road accident as he was a driver by profession. We are living in a slim area of Gulshan Colony, Mirpurkhas.

Before getting training of Tailoring, I used to support my mother in grocery shop in the home as well as rest of chores. It was really hard to run home just through the limited income from grocery home based shop. But after joining the training course of Tailoring at ARTS Foundation under the GlobalGiving, the technical skills of sewing clothes, it helped me to have second source of income to run day to day home expenses along the educational expenses of sisters and brothers studying in nearby schools.

I am feeling very much comfortable and easy as I am a skilled girl to earn in a decent way at home and supporting my mother as well. This whole made possible through the generous support of you people as philanthropist for ARTS Foundation in Mirpurkhas

In future I want to establish vocational center at my home level so that I can provided training and employment for poor girls who live in my slim area. I want to see my name among international dress designer and I hope the Global Giving and ARTS Foundation through the donors like you will keep its supporting role in full filling my ambition, bringing comfort and easiness in my life as well in my family life too.

Thank you very much!
