Thanks to your donations so far, we have given to kids in Colombia the chance to walk, learn and be happy.
One of this kids, is Sara, a beautiful 16 years old girl that had a traffic accident when a taxi ran over her when she was only 7 years old. After this tragedy she had to quit school for a while, and stay at home recovering from the accident. Then, in 2013 she received her first prosthesis from Mahavir Kmina, with which she learned to walk again, left her crutches and started living normally again.
She came back to school, got back her friends and started to feel more like a teenager, enjoying this stage of her life.
Now, after three years of having her first prosthesis, she came back to Mahavir Kmina because she has grown up so much that her old prosthesis didn´t fit anymore and needed to be replaced.
She came looking beautiful and happy, but when she left she had a big smile on her face and was amazed by having the opportunity to continue living. Now she is getting ready to go to college and knows that if she didn´t have her prosthesis it would be really difficult to do so. And for that, she couldn´t be happier and more grateful with you, the donors.
Sara is one of the many children that need our help, one of the many disabled children in Colombia. that still have a chance in life to be educated, happy and independent if we continue to work together towards donating prosthesis to them.
