Mahavir Kmina Artificial Limb Center has been working since 2007 in the manufacture and provision of prostheses for people who have lost their legs and cannot afford a regular solution. We have had beneficiaries from all the Colombian territory, even though we only have one office at La Estrella, Antioquia. This fact makes our job even more special: we pay for the beneficiaries’ transportation, hotel accommodation and psychological support.
With this specific project our goal is to provide 40 children with prostheses. So far we have raised USD $12,830 that have been translated into 25 prostheses. We are missing little for the 26th prostheses which is why we want to thank our donors for making this achievement possible.
Almost every six months, a child needs the prostheses to be changed -this occurs because they grow and can´t wear the old prostheses. We encourage you to share the word about our project so a lot of children are able to walk again or to have new prostheses that fit.
