Hello, our dear friends!
At this challenging time, the Women’s Federation for World Peace continues its activities aimed at helping internally displaced people. We are happy to share the work that has been done.
The public organization "Women's Federation for World Peace", within the framework of social protection and support for vulnerable groups in Ukraine, keeps giving financial and in-kind help for the IDP and ATO zone families. As many of our beneficiaries faced serious difficulties during the quarantine, this help is especially important for them these days.
For example, a stroller for Rada, a 2-years-old girl, warm and casual clothes, and shoes were sent to the Aleksandr and Kristina family in Slovyansk, Donetsk region.
In February 2021, WFWP, together with the Council of Military Priests and the military chaplain Basia, organized a collection of gifts to greet Ukrainian defenders currently in the ATO zone. Through the joint efforts of schoolchildren, students, teachers, and other volunteers, alterations, drawings, letters, sweets and other necessary things were collected. On the eve of the spring holidays, a team of chaplains goes to the front to congratulate the female soldiers on International Women's Day on March 8, pray for them and support them.
Together with the regional Red Cross Society in Kyiv, the Women’s Federation continues special integration monthly workshops for those who need additional psychological help.
The project is carried out for widows, mothers, members of their families, internally displaced people from the conflict zone. It offers themed activities for group work and one-to-one sessions with qualified psychologists. The workshops are held twice a month for 10 people on average.
Thank you, our dear friends, for making all this work possible!
