Dear Friends!
We hope this letter finds you well. We would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt appreciation for your unwavering support in making a difference in the lives of Ukrainian IDPs and refugees. Despite the challenges we faced last year, we were able to execute numerous projects that have left a lasting impact on the communities we serve.
In December, we organized a special St. Nicholas Day holiday event for Ukrainian families in Germany, where 50 children, mostly from large families, had the opportunity to make new friends and participate in workshops and games. Each child received sweets and gifts, with many wishing for peace, protection, and victory for Ukraine.
Continuing the action of presenting New Year gifts for children from the internally displaced and large families, that we started a few years ago, we sent gifts for 56 children. This time our "Gifts for Children" campaign was very unusual, as the most popular request from children was a power bank for charging gadgets. Due to constant power outgases children have many problems with their online educations and their daily life.
Another action on this topic was "Power Banks for Displaced Families" where 10 families were provided with power banks.
One of these families was Vadym and Viktoriia with their three children. They live in a Ukrainian village near Kyiv, facing significant hardships, including shelling and attacks on infrastructure, which have made it difficult to provide electricity, fuel and heat. Thanks to our financial assistance, the family was able to build a stove that provides them with heat and cooking for the whole family. At the moment, the family is working on insulating the corridor that is used as a hallway and bathroom.
In cooperation with the Kyiv-Svyatoshynsky Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation in Boyarka, Kyiv Oblast, and the Child.ua Association, our organization initiated the "Shoes for children" project. More than 50 IDP kids and children from families in difficult circumstances received winter shoes, with our volunteers personally assisting them in selecting the necessary footwear.
Unfortunately, the arrival of winter also brought health problems, with many struggling to afford food and medicine. Our organization provides financial assistance to help alleviate these difficulties and strives to provide at least minimal comfort to those affected by the war.
We are deeply grateful for your support, and we will continue to make a positive impact on the lives of those who need it most. Together, we can bring about lasting change.
