10 months of food distribution

By Nishchita Verghese | Operations Manager

A few stories that inspired us
A few stories that inspired us

Since March 2020, we have been able to distribute food provisions to the families of the ACT children. The usual heroes ofcourse are the Senior Students (Degree/ Undergraduate Students) who volunteer to organise and carry out the distribution drive. The team of Senior Students have been sorting, packing and distributing the supplies door to door since March. They show a keen sense of ownership, empathy, teamwork and initiative.

The parents of the students have been suportive of their initiative and allowed them to participate despite the risks of Covid 19. They have been taking all precautions including wearing masks, gloves, sanitising and maintaining social distancing norms. The Senior Students express that they are grateful for the support they have received and just want to pay it forward. They showed up rain or shine to do the work involved in ensuring no one goes hungry.

Beneficiaries: The Government Kannada Higher Primary School students (69 children) and The Government Tamil Higher Primary School students (46 children).
