This month, Sahar received a KAFO orthotic device a vital step toward building her independence. With this new support, Sahar is now able to stand with stability and take the first steps of her journey toward mobility and self-reliance. After losing both of his legs in a devastating artillery strike, Ammar spent nearly a year confined to a wheelchair, burdened by the emotional and physical toll of his injury. Yet, even in the face of unimaginable hardship, Ammar held onto hope.

Today, we are proud to share that Ammar has taken the first steps literally toward reclaiming his independence. Through the prosthetics and rehabilitation program at the Afrin Center, Ammar received two expertly crafted lower-limb prosthetics, tailored to his specific needs. He is now engaged in daily physical therapy and balance training, steadily rebuilding his strength and confidence.
