Ammar, a courageous young man, suffered the unimaginable: the loss of both legs due to artillery shelling. For nearly a year, he endured not only the physical pain but also the psychological toll of immobility and trauma. Yet, Ammar never surrendered to despair. He believed that even the deepest wounds can heal, and that every setback can open a new path forward.
Thanks to your support, Ammar visited the Syrian Foundation Center for Prosthetics and Rehabilitation in Afrin, where his road to recovery began. A personalized treatment plan was developed, including the high-precision manufacturing and fitting of two lower-limb prosthetics. Just as important, Ammar has now started his daily rehabilitation training, learning to walk again—one determined step at a time.
