Greeting Imani House friends and family! Happy Holidays to you all!
We would like to take the time to say thanks for all your support! We could not have done it without you! Yes we have institutional funders, but donations from hardworking people like you are more important to us. We know what you go through daily to make a living and the fact you still saw fit to share what you have with the community is absolutely commendable! We celebrate and applaud you!
Camp Imani 2024 was a smashing success, thanks to you.
We measure the success of the project by:
*our ability to gain sufficient funding for the project, which defintely was accomplished.
*our ability to meet our participant quotas; our program was full to capacity serving 120 children this summer.
*Feedback from the young people and their caregivers. We are always open to the feedback of our community and it's very important to us, letting us know what is working well and areas we need to improve in. This summer 90% of the feedback was positive.
*The variety and quality of the activities offered by the program. This summer the children participated in dance, arts and crafts, several field trips, archery, field days, sports and other fun activities. As we know the summer is a time when children "forget" about their academics, so we choose to keep them on top of things by still offering an academic component to the program. All Activity Specialist working with our children are professionals in their field with many years of verifiable experience to ensure our children receive the instruction they need and deserve.
All in all the children had a wonderful summer and we are hopeful you can join us again next year!
Remember, while financial contributions are very important to programs such as ours we accept all forms of support. We ask that you spread the word about the wonderful work Imani House is doing far and wide. There are also volunteer opportunities as well as chances for professionals to come to speak to our children about their paths and what they did to get there. Our kids need all the inspiration they can get!!
