One of the inhumane ways to control pests is a Glue Trap. This deadly sticky pad causes harm to a lot of innocent lives.
Recently, we have received a Shikra trapped in a glue pad at Jivdaya.
Shikra is a beautiful raptor belong to the Accipitridae family. This poor bird was unable to fly due to the glue that damaged its primary feathers. When our team received the bird, they first stabilized its condition by basic medication and checked thoroughly for any other injuries. After that our team of vet assistants patiently removed the glue from each feather so the bird can fly easily.
After the completing cleaning our doctors kept the bird under observation of our hospital curator for flight practice. Our curator will release the bird soon after confirming its health and ability to fly.
