Successful Urolithiasis treatment for a Cat at JCT
By Moumita | Program Director
cat was brought to Jivdaya with pain & discomfort
We recently received a cat with extreme discomfort and distress, the signs were frequently vomiting and blood in the urine. After an USG doctor found out that the cat is suffering from Urolithiasis, which means calculi or stone formation in the urinary track which was removed surgically by our skilled vets. The cat came out of the anaesthetic effect at that very night and shown remarkable recovery from the next day.
The cat's owners expressed immense gratitude to Jivdaya for relieving their pet's pain and discomfort. This case highlights our commitment to compassionate and effective animal care, ensuring pets' well-being. We wish the cat a swift recovery and remain dedicated to helping animals in need.

A Feline named 'Jimmy' was treated for an Ear hematoma
By Moumita | Program Director
Jimmy came to Jivdaya with an ear hematoma
Ear hematoma or auricular hematoma is a common ear problem in cats. It is a painful condition that results when a blood vessel ruptures, and blood and fluid fill the area between the skin and cartilage in the ear.
The cat named ‘Jimmy’ came to Jivdaya Charitable Trust with the same problem. She was constantly shaking her head with pain and discomfort. We noticed that the puss was oozing out of the affected area too. Our vet took a decision to cure the problem through a surgery. The surgery took almost an hour to complete successfully. Jimmy is now recovering with our team’s post-surgical care.
