What do we mean by gender integration?
To Kole Intellectual Forum: the organization (Kole Intellectual Forum) in this report is using one project, that is meant to empower girls to fight for their rights and COVID-19 in Uganda; to, at the same time to put into consideration issues about gender integration (or mainstreaming). The organization is treating it as a process of assessing the implications for women, men and people with diverse gender identities to see that: they all, can benefit from each other’s projects.
For this case, the program of girls that called for the building of the Institute of Home Economics in Uganda; after fund was raised through the platform of GlobalGiving; instead of hiring experts to build the Institute from elsewhere, the planners of the organization though it proper to see that: this opportunity of building an Institute should be trusted to the young boys out of schools by first skilling them.
Hence, this elaborates more about how the girls project has been incorporated into boys project leading to the gender integration at Kole Intellectual Forum
