The big dark cloud that is looming over us in the world today is COVID-19: everyone needs to be informed
INFORMATION IS POWER!
But, is it true that all information can give power to the informed? Or is it true that all the informers can give all information that can generate power to the informed?
The answer is yes and no. for one or two reasons:
Indeed it is true that information is power; because, with the knowledge that you can acquire from a rightful source, it can make you to control your own destiny, career, health and other resources just to mention a few. Knowledge acquire from a rightful source can give you the power of decision making; what to do, what not to do, how to prevent and avoid problems, how to leave in peace and in harmony with one another, it is therefore right to say “INFORMATION IS POWER!”
However, baseless information without profound source can give you misleading or misguided information; hence, as it is always said, information is power; in such situation such information is not in any case “POWER”
Kole Intellectual Forum, a Community Based Organization, operating at the post war area of Northern Uganda; with the aim of contributing towards of the rebuilding of the region; through action research, modern telecommunication system and entrepreneurship skills; is always outsourcing informed information, ideas, concepts, and ensures those that are relevant to the communities are disseminated to them for the purposes of development and rehabilitations.
For the case of the looming dark cloud around the war today – COVID-19; the organization has made several attempts to understand daily reports on the situation of virus from all the countries across the globe at: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/?utm_campaign=homeAdUOA?Si
