Dear Ashoka Japan supporters,
Hello! This is Yoi from Ashoka Japan.
We are delighted to announce that we are hosting the Youth Changemakers Exchange (YCX) 2021 in partnership with Swarthmore College next week!!
It is our third year to host YCX, where five Ashoka Youth Venturers will interact with student innovators at Swarthmore college, one of the leading Liberal Arts College in the US. This will be an amazing opportunity for Youth Venturers in Japan to broaden their perspectives. Focusing on the theme of empathy and the critical role that empathy plays in the Social Innovator's work, the Symposium will showcase outstanding Youth Social Innovators working in the US, Japan, and around the world. (March 29-31, 9-10:30 am EST)
We will also welcome two internationally acclaimed Ashoka Fellow Social Entrepreneurs, Mary Gordon, Founder and CEO of Roots of Empathy, and Bart Weetjens, Founder of APOPO and The Wellbeing Project. Both Mary and Bart have generously agreed to provide Keynote addresses; "Empathy & Social Innovation" Mary Gordon, and "Self-Compassion: Empathy to the Self" Bart Weetjens. Their videos will be made available at the beginning (March 28) and closing of the Symposium (April 2), respectively.
All session will be held in English.
