Silent reading
By Denis Espinal | Director Ejecutivo
Silent reading
Our book clubs carry out different activities focused on reading, from silent reading to later group discussions guided by our educational facilitator, with the aim of improving analytical skills, awakening curiosity and imagination.
We continue to promote reading in all the rural communities where our program arrives, and we have seen how the leadership of the children in each locality has grown, and the ability to write and narrate their own stories, which have been part of our Annual Event " Voices of Mother Earth – fifth edition”
Testimony:
Reading makes me happy. Now I understand some things that I did not know before and that through participating in the different book clubs and interacting with others, I have learned incredible things.
To continue to positively impact the lives of our beneficiaries, we need to continue to have your support. Likewise, we invite you to spread the word with your family and friends so that they join this noble cause.

Child Leadership
By Denis Espinal | Executive Director
Child Leadership
Our children increasingly demonstrate greater leadership, reading ability and verbal fluency due to their participation in the various reading activities offered through Un Mundo’s Literacy Connections program.
Their testimonials reflect their joy and the success of the program:
“I love creating stories and reading to the other children in my community. I have learned to read and write better.” - Program beneficiary (girl)
“I have two younger brothers and they love it when I tell them my favorite stories. When we return home from school, we are happy. Dad and mom are also happy to know that we are learning a lot and that we are now able to present in front of the group of children in our community, without feeling shy.” - Program beneficiary (boy)
Stories like these become reality thanks to the support and collaboration provided to us through your donations and contributions to the program. Enhancing the educational experiences of the children in our programs will continue if more people are encouraged to support these efforts. We appreciate you sharing the success of our programs with your friends, family and key contacts so we can continue to expand our reach and positive impact.

Let your hands think...
By DENIS ESPINAL | DIRECTOR EJECUTIVO
Let your hands think...
In the Literacy program we focus on developing leadership through reading and playful activities.
We have developed a methodology using Legos, which is based on a playful conception that encourages imagination and exploration. It is framed in the social, cognitive and emotional dimensions. Specifically, it is about the construction of mental models, which allow the children to generate ideas to solve problems. The program has been very well received by the children with incredible results, stimulating mathematical thinking, improving fine motor skills and increasing confidence and self-esteem in the children.
This methodology allows us to work with all population types, including children with disabilities.
To continue our work and impact lives in a positive way, we are hoping for your ongoing support and collaboration to help us spread the word with other friends and family to further expand and grow our impact.
