Educate 500 Orphans in Syria

During the first half of March, 100 orphaned and displaced students joined the "Skills Track" sessions. This rush toward learning reflects our students' solid will to transform challenges into opportunities and acquire the practical tools that ensure an independent and sustainable future for them.

Why is the Skills Track important at "Masarat"? We believe that academic education alone is not enough in a challenging environment like the one our students live in. Therefore, the Skills Track was designed to be:

• A Bridge to the Labor Market: The track generally aims to equip students with modern skills that enable them to rely on themselves financially and professionally, transforming them from aid recipients into active contributors to their communities.

• A Tool for Psychological and Social Resilience: The track focuses on building an "initiative mindset" in orphans, helping them adapt to harsh displacement conditions with a creative vision capable of finding solutions.

• An Investment in "Soft Power": Through this track, we seek to build a well-rounded personality for the student, enabling them to communicate, lead, and innovate in a fast-paced digital world.

Strategic Impact: This track aims to break the cycle of poverty inherited as a result of wars by giving orphans the "weapon of skills" that no one can take away from them. The attendance of 100 new students in just two weeks is evidence of their awareness that the future is built by the hand that masters the skill and the mind that possesses the tools of the era.

This smile is the "greatest motivation" for us at Masarat to continue our battle against ignorance, and to secure for every orphan their right to education and knowledge, regardless of the challenges.

Despite orphanhood, displacement, and deprivation, Zainab's smile fills the place with optimism. Through her innocent features, she tells us that her dreams are larger than the rubble of harsh circumstances, and that her passion for learning cannot be bounded by the camp's fence. For Zainab, every educational session she attends through "Masarat" is a window through which she looks at the world, and a step toward a future she sees as bright despite the darkness of the present.
