Harvesting Giving and Empowerment in February
By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader

At Masarat, we believe education is a collaborative effort. Thanks to our creative partners, February was a milestone in our students' journey toward the future.
Key Contributions That Made a Difference:
-
"Forsati" Program: A 3-month journey in vocational training launched with Dr. Helal H., focusing on building entrepreneurial projects and financial independence.
-
Data Analysis Program (Stage 1): Within the vocational track, Ms. Asmaa A. began a 6-stage program, starting with "Excel Skills" to empower students digitally and professionally.
-
Turkish Scholarship Guidance: Mr. Hussein A. conducted a vital session on the "Turkish Scholarship: Mechanisms and Conditions." Beyond guidance, he facilitated the free registration of 20 students, opening international academic horizons for them.
Our Partners on GlobalGiving, your support is the umbrella that allows this expertise to reach our students. You are opening doors for experts to share their knowledge with a generation waiting for a chance to prove themselves. Thank you for making these partnerships possible.

Orphans Confronting Hazardous Professions
By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader
![]()
The harshest challenge an orphan faces is the economic collapse. A child in the prime of his life, instead of his hands holding a pen to draw his future, his tiny fingers stand at a dangerous distance from a sharp mechanical saw blade. This scene is not just "work"; it is a cry for help to save a childhood being crushed between the gears of necessity.
In the absence of a breadwinner, the orphan finds himself forced to enter professions that suit neither his frail body nor his tender age. The risks here go beyond physical exhaustion:
-
Risk of Permanent Injuries: Working on heavy machinery (such as wood saws) puts children under a direct threat of injuries that may stay with them for a lifetime, in an environment that lacks the minimum safety standards.
-
Psychological Exhaustion: For a child to bear the responsibility of securing warmth or food for his family through such strenuous work is a burden that ages the heart prematurely and kills the spirit of childhood and joy.
-
The Vortex of Forced Illiteracy: Every hour an orphan spends in front of these machines is an hour stolen from his school years, which perpetuates the cycle of poverty and ignorance that is difficult to break in the future.
How does "Masarat" intervene to reset the compass?
At Masarat, we believe that the pen is the only weapon these children should carry; therefore, we work on:
-
Providing a Knowledge Alternative: We offer a flexible educational system that reaches the child wherever he is, enabling him to study in his free time as a step toward permanently removing him from the hazardous labor market.
-
Awareness and Protection: We work with the families of orphans and the surrounding community to raise awareness about the dangers of early child labor, emphasizing that investing in a child's education is the only guarantee for sustainable economic stability.
-
Building Safe Skills: Through our training tracks, we guide young people toward modern skills (such as programming and design) that guarantee them a dignified income away from saw blades and workshop dust.
Our Partners at GlobalGiving When you see this image, remember that your support is the "barrier" that separates this child's fingers from danger. You are the ones giving him the chance to leave the saw and hold a phone to learn, transforming him from a worker threatened by injury into a student full of hope. Because of you, we are in the midst of a true rescue operation for souls that were nearly lost in the crush of strenuous professions.
