We are excited that soon the dormitory and dental center for students will be complete. This will allow Medical Students, nursing students, PA's, ARNP's and dental students to come and learn about 3rd world medicine. We hope this will also open the doors for medical professionals to be willing to work with the poor in the future.
Many of your donations have made this dream possible. Many of you have also volunteered your time and wisdom for this project.
We hope you will be able to visit someday and see all that you have accomplished. There are still ways you can help. Please keep in touch with us if you are interested in a future role to make all of this possible.
Feel free to visit us at Clinicadeesperanza.org or at clinicof hope.org.
Thank you,

Preparing for Education

It has been a great year in Santa Ana, Honduras at the Clinica de Esperanza. We believe education is the key to a future in healthcare. Not only for Americans but for Hondurans as well. For many years we have hoped to provide better learning opportunities for a greater number of people.
Previously Interns stayed with me in my home which meant no more than 2 students at a time. This limits the amount of learning that can take place in a single setting. This learning is paramount to healthcare providers learning about the needs in a 3rd world country. This introduction will change the future of the students who choose to participate.
As an solution to this problem we have begun construction behind the clinic for a dormitory to house medical, nursing, PA, ARNP, dental, and pharmaceutical students. The dormitory is currently at 75% completion.
Thank you for supporting this effort to train students to be better healthcare providers and willing to serve in the future.
In gratitude,
gayle savage davidson

New Intern

Our new intern, Josh, was at Clinica de esperanza over the summer. He had a variety of tasks that included working in the pharmacy, clinic and construction of the new student center. Some very physical work was completed during this time to prepare the area for a new dental clinic as well.
A group out of Texas donated 2 dental chairs. With your donations we will complete a fully functional dental clinic where students can come and learn during their internships. There will also be a opportunity for medical students, Nursing students, ARNP's and PA's.
Josh was able to identify some needs that are to be expeceted in a 3rd world country. This anticipation of needs is important to set goals for the future.
We will continue to do everything we can to expand health care in the second poorest country in the western hemisphere. The needs change daily.
Thank you for your continued support.
