Because of the faithful donations for the clinic, a dormitory for medical students, nursing students and dental students is officially open. This will allow us to keep a team leader and a team of 4-5 students during a rotation. The students will experience medicine in a 3rd world country and adjust to using what you have and not having what you need.
We are excited as we have already had 6 students stay with us and their experience was a good one. Teaching the students is always a experience and changes the young person for life.
We hope you will continue to support the program so more young people can see first hand what it is like to be poor and have no resources. This is a new concept for most Americans who expect everything they need to be available. It is a growth experience on all fronts.
I personally believe it makes the students better health care providors where ever they decide to work. It is also very rewarding to help someone who only has you to depend on in Santa Ana, Honduras.
Thanks for all you do to make the world a better place.
Gratefully yours,
