Educating Afghans through Radio/TV

Radio Meraj has provided school lessons in its programming, helping students keep up with their studies while schools were closed. 

Habibullah from Enjil District says, "We have four children in our family who, since the outbreak of the coronavirus and the closure of schools, have only listened to your radio programs, especially the school subjects. From evaluating their lessons and teaching I was surprised to see that they have learned very well. When I asked them, they said that they listened to Radio Meraj and its learning programs and we are now good at our school lessons. So I called the station to express appreciation for your service and hard work. I believe that Meraj’s presence is necessary for having a bright vision in Afghanistan. “

This is part of its work related to Covid-19 which includes spreading virus information and providing a call-in option for people with virus rules reporting or need for information.  TV Meraj helped by providing video clips related to the virus.

Radio Meraj continues its vital Covid-19 reporting providing accurate and timely information on the spread of the virus and what to do to protect yourself.

Recently, Meraj Media Group which includes TV Meraj and Radio Meraj, signed an agreement with departments of journalism and higher education institutes, agreeing to provide informative, accurate educational content based on fact, science and truth. These media outlets are valued resources for teachers who rely on them for accurate information on current topics to incorporate into their lessons.
