COMMUNITY ACTION CREATING IMPACT

By Othieno Gerald | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

Thank you for your continued support of our End Early Child Marriage in Rural Uganda project. Your generosity is helping drive community action that is creating real and lasting impact for girls.

This reporting period focused on strengthening collective efforts among parents, teachers, and local leaders to prevent child marriage and promote education. Community discussions encouraged participants to take active roles in protecting girls and supporting their schooling.

Many families expressed stronger commitment to keeping girls in school and providing them with a supportive home environment. These changes are contributing to improved school attendance and reduced risk of early marriage.

Girls involved in mentorship sessions continued to receive life-skills training focused on leadership, communication, and decision-making. These sessions helped them build confidence and remain focused on their education.

Teachers reported positive improvements in engagement, attendance, and classroom participation among supported students. Schools continue to be important partners in supporting vulnerable learners.

Community leaders also strengthened their advocacy efforts, encouraging reporting of child protection concerns and promoting education for all children. Their involvement is helping reinforce accountability within communities.

When communities take action together, meaningful change becomes possible. Through your support, we are seeing stronger protection systems and better outcomes for girls.

Thank you for helping create impact through community action.
