SUPPORTING EDUCATION, STRENGTHENING COMMUNITIES

By Othieno Gerald | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

Thank you for your continued commitment to our End Early Child Marriage in Rural Uganda project. Your support is helping strengthen communities through education and empowerment of girls.

This reporting period focused on reinforcing the importance of education as a tool for community development. Awareness sessions brought together parents, teachers, and local leaders to discuss how educating girls benefits entire families and communities.

Many participants expressed increased appreciation for girls’ education and a stronger commitment to supporting them. These discussions are helping shift social norms that previously contributed to early marriage.

Girls participating in mentorship programs received guidance on leadership, self-esteem, and goal setting. These sessions encouraged them to remain focused on their education and believe in their potential.

Teachers reported improved classroom participation and attendance among girls involved in the project. Schools continue to serve as safe and supportive environments for learning.

Community leaders also strengthened advocacy efforts aimed at protecting children and promoting education. Their involvement is helping build stronger systems of support for vulnerable girls.

When girls are educated, communities become stronger, healthier, and more prosperous. Through your support, we are helping create this positive cycle of change.

Thank you for supporting education and strengthening communities.
