Today marked a significant step in our ongoing commitment to girls’ education and well-being. We officially commenced the distribution of scholastic materials, with Sharuwa being the first to benefit. Each girl at Sharuwa received not only a full set of books for the term but also a packet of menstrual sanitary pads to support her throughout the academic term.
This initiative goes beyond providing basic learning tools. By ensuring that no girl misses class due to a lack of sanitary protection, we are directly addressing a major barrier to school attendance. The pads, together with exercise books and other essentials, send a clear message: our girls matter, their health matters, and their education is a priority.
Seeing the smiles and relief on the faces of the girls as they received their supplies was deeply rewarding. For many, this simple packet of pads means a full month of uninterrupted learning, and the books represent a future filled with possibility.
We extend our gratitude to everyone who made this possible. Moving forward, more schools in the region will benefit from this rollout. Together, we are not just distributing materials—we are restoring dignity, promoting gender equity, and keeping girls in the classroom where they belong.
