Advocating for traditional marriages
At an African Context: traditional marriage that Kole Intellectual Forum is advocating for, is cherished, because, it is treated as a way to extend the family lineage and maintain social order. It is too, consider to be a union of two individuals but also the coming together of two families from different background and they should not be related to each other. Of course, family ties are highly valued in African culture, and marriage is a means of strengthening these bonds.
Although, traditional marriage focused on economic stability, social status, and having kids; modern marriage on the other hand, is more about personal happiness, emotional ties, and fairness. The move from group values to individual ones has made marriage a partnership based on mutual respect and shared aims.
