A Farming Family Can Lose Everything Overnight
By JACKSON AMEH | Project Leader

In Benue State, thousands of farming families depend on their land for every aspect of daily life—food, income, and a sense of purpose. Yet, in an instant, this security can be shattered. When violence erupts, a once-thriving, self-sufficient household may be forced to leave everything behind, fleeing in fear with only what they can carry.
This sudden upheaval means families must abandon:
- Crops and stored food painstakingly grown and harvested
- Livestock and essential farm tools that represent their livelihood
- Clothing, cooking utensils, and cherished homes built over generations
For many in Benue, this isn’t just a possibility—it is a devastating reality. Communities have endured repeated attacks, resulting in the loss of lives, severe injuries, and the destruction of entire villages.
For those who survive, escaping the violence marks only the beginning of a long and uncertain journey. Each day brings new and urgent challenges:
- Where will the children sleep tonight?
- What will the family eat tomorrow?
- How can a farmer rebuild when it’s too dangerous to return home?
Through our Feed Displaced Families in Benue, Nigeria project, GoGreen delivers emergency food supplies and essential relief to families facing these darkest days. Our mission is not to create dependency, but to offer critical support as families strive to regain their stability and dignity.
Food assistance provides a vital lifeline—a moment to catch their breath, regroup, and make plans for the future.
Your support can make a life-changing difference. By giving today, you help ensure that more families have the time, nourishment, and sense of security they need to begin rebuilding their lives after unimaginable loss.
A single donation can truly change everything for a family in need.

A Child Should Never Have to Choose Between Hunger

A Child Should Never Have to Choose Between Hunger and Hope
Each morning in Benue State, thousands of children awaken in displacement camps facing unimaginable hardship. For these young ones, basic necessities like food, clean water, and the security of a safe space to play and learn are no longer guaranteed. Violent conflict has driven families from their homes, fields, and the communities they once loved, stripping them of their livelihoods and stability. Today, the crisis has left over 510,000 people internally displaced across Benue State, the overwhelming majority of whom are women and children.
At GoGreen, our mission is to bring urgent, sustained relief to these vulnerable populations. We are on the ground in and around Makurdi, providing monthly food assistance to stave off hunger and nutrition support tailored especially for children to ensure healthy development. Our work doesn’t end there—we supply safe drinking water, essential hygiene kits, and materials like blankets and sleeping mats to bring comfort and dignity to families living in IDP (internally displaced persons) camps. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by women and girls, we also distribute dignity kits to help them manage daily life with privacy and respect.
Your support is much more than charity—it is a beacon of hope. Every act of generosity ensures that a child doesn’t go to bed hungry, empowers a mother to safeguard her family, and offers displaced families the chance to dream of a better future.
Together, we can make a profound difference. Let’s transform fear into dignity, hunger into nourishment, and uncertainty into hope for the people of Benue State. Thank you for standing in solidarity with those who need it most.

The Human Story Behind Every Ruin
By JACKSON AMEH | Project Leader
Behind Every Destroyed Home Is a Family.
When conflict tears through a community, what remains is more than just destruction—it’s the silence of lives interrupted. Each demolished house in Benue tells a story of a family forced to abandon the comfort of their own space, treasured memories, and a life built over years.
Now, these families must confront the daily hardships of displacement: where to find their next meal, how to keep their children safe, and how to make it through another night without a roof over their heads.
Through the Feed Displaced Families in Benue, Nigeria project, we’re working to meet these urgent needs. We deliver food, water, and vital supplies directly into the hands of those who need them most—offering a glimmer of hope and a reminder that they are not alone.
Every act of kindness—every donation—reminds a family that while their home may be gone, the world has not forgotten them.
Your support today can help transform despair into hope and uncertainty into renewed faith in humanity.
