We have been working hard to complete additional Wells for the benefit of our people. But lack of funds has hampered our progress over the last quarter. We have managed to complete the concrete lining on three out of the 5 ongoing Wells under construction. The target communities are eager to see these Wells complete especially around this time of the year. Because of the long dry season experienced from November to April every year, many communities in our project area have problems with water accessibility. As a result of this, our people have to resort to polluted water from the streams, which is not safe to their health.
With some of the contributions the communities have made towards the project, they are very anxious to see water flow from the Wells under construction. Mothers, school children and the elderly want to have the water. Some of the school children including Manfred Gyesi and Joana Boateng both in primary class 5 from Twoansuokodu community are always on us to see to the completion of the Well in their community.
We are therefore appealing to you all to donate generously to help us purchase hand pumps to complete the outstanding Hand Dug Wells in the shortest possible time for our people to have access to clean water.
