Namaskar dear patrons!
It's our constant endeavor to enrich the skills of the teachers
of Isha Vidhya schools, such that they impart the best possible
education to the students.
We are introducing the 'English Improvement Program' again,
in which you can volunteer remotely to train a teacher on
English skills! The following options are available. If you are

Course 1 : Functional English for Teachers
This course is designed to help teachers improve their oral speaking
skills in English in everyday school activities. Every week, from
Monday through Thursday, different scenarios will be presented to
the teacher, and pointers will be given on how to speak and what to
say on a given scenario. On Friday, a video clip will be played and
the scenarios learnt will be revised. The teacher will record their
sentences and will send the audio files along with text messages.
All topics will relate to day to day activities of teacher in school. The
volunteer will correct the sentences and give feedback. The course
is 6 weeks long.
Course 2 : Things around us
This course is designed to help teachers describe a given object
commonly seen in our everyday life. Every week, from Monday to
Thursday, different aspects about the object/thing will be discussed
(sentence formation, show and tell, Q & A, story building, etc.).
On Fridays, a game will be conducted to reinforce the learning.
The volunteer will correct the sentences and give feedback.
The course is 6 weeks long
Course 3 : Essay Writing
This course is to help teachers write essays relating to school
events. The volunteer will email an assignment every week.
The teacher will write an essay on the given topic. The volunteer
will review and give the feedback. The course is 6 weeks long.
Course 4 : Letter Writing
This course is to help teachers write letters. The volunteer will
send a topic for letter through email every week. The teacher will
write the letter on the given topic. The volunteer will review and
give feedback. The course is 6 weeks long.
