What has been happening at Langoni?

By Morgan Domijan | Fundraising Manager

Since the renovations have been completed, we still maintain a great relationship with all the elderly. African Impact volunteers and staff visit weekly, holding fun activities and strengthening exercises.

This past quarter, fifteen of the nineteen residents are currently mobile and the rest have physical restrictions. There are currently two wheelchairs for those are who are partially disabled so we can work with them in the communal areas. Two residents, we work with them in their rooms on strengthening excerises.

Different activities include phsycial activities such as light exerices, ball games, nail painting, gardening. Additionally, mental exerices include bingo, language lessons, and debates all which follow social exercises such as debates, newspaper readings and everyday greetings.

We love working with the residents weekly and volunteers are always excited for the interactions.

Thanks to all who are continously supporting the project as we still provide nutritious snacks every week.
