Project Report | Sep 6, 2021
Summary for July 2021

By Ratiranjan Mahapatra | Project manager

We are now well into Monsoon Season, usually the worst time of year for stray animals. Even though the rainfall was lower and a little delayed than normal this year, that didn't stop the increased need for animals, especially street-dwelling community dogs, from requiring support from Jivdaya Charitable trust. We have been busy with a lot of cases. These mainly consisted of severe skin conditions, injuries, diseases, tumors, and infections.  All these animals on the streets are living a better life - all because of your help and generous donations. The Trauma Care Centre for stray Animals and Birds project supported by you also treated many animals suffering from parasitic diseases that were zoonotic, meaning they can be transmitted to humans if not treated timely.

We treated all animals for such conditions even if they were registered for some other ailment. When animals especially- Dogs and Cats recover from their ailments, we vaccinate them against rabies before closing the case. With each vaccination, we are directly benefitting the public health by preventing deadly diseases like rabies.

Here is a monthly treatment summary of our ‘Trauma Care Center for Animals & Birds’ project for July’21.

Treatment Data for July’21

  • Total Number of animals treated- 5848
  • Total Number of Bird treated- 1543
  • Total Number of Infant birds treated- 3112
  • Total Number of ABC (Animal Birth Control) Surgery performed- 25
  • Total Number of other Surgery performed- 51

Thank you all for saving many lives with your love, prayer, and your kind contribution.

People like you, are constantly making a change and strengthening us to fight against all edges. We are proud to have you in our family. Thank you for being kind to all these speechless lives.
