KIFA invited by Kole District to participate at its International women's Day event
Kole Intellectual Forum (KIFA) being a Local Community Organization whose activities to deal with girls out of school issues in Kole District are very visible within the District and beyond; Kole District who is due to celebrate its District International Women’s Day on May 7, 2024 has invited the organization to be part of the event and also to support them in the resources for the mobilization.
Of course as we all know that: the International Women’s Day began in New York City on March 8, 1857, when female textile workers marched in protest of unfair working conditions and unequal rights for women; and, it was then, taken as one of the first organized strikes by working women, during which they called for a shorter work day and decent wages; and considerably recognized by US Government and it became a global concern; hence, today is celebrated globally.
Furthermore, It is a day when women are recognized for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political. Since those early years, International Women's Day has assumed a new global dimension for women in developed and developing countries alike.
