Kole Intellectual Forum is advocating at its Institute of Home Economics, the Student-centered learning (SCL), an educational approach that shifts the focus from the teacher to the individual student, emphasizing their interests, needs, and autonomy to create personalized and meaningful learning experiences. It involves collaborative decision-making between teachers and students to determine learning paths, utilizes activities like discussions and group work, and promotes skills for lifelong learning and independent problem-solving.
The approach, focus on the Individual Learner whereby, instruction is tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of each student, fostering a more personal learning journey; giving them more roles in making choices about their learning, such as selecting topics, setting goals, or determining the pace of their learning; while in the actual sense, a teacher continuously monitor student progress and adjust learning pathways to support evolving individual needs.
