A child's education should be built around learning, discovering talents and preparing for a brighter future. Unfortunately, pupils at Mwanyagiri Primary School are spending part of their school day worrying about where they can find a safe place to ease themselves.
The lack of a functioning toilet forces children to seek assistance from neighbouring homes or find alternative places around the community. This interrupts lessons, reduces concentration and exposes pupils to uncomfortable situations.
For some children, the fear of using unsafe sanitation facilities may contribute to absenteeism. Girls, particularly adolescent girls, face additional difficulties when they need privacy during menstruation.
When children repeatedly lose learning time because of poor sanitation, their academic progress and confidence can suffer.
We believe that building a new toilet is also an investment in educational achievement. A safe sanitation facility will help pupils remain at school, participate in lessons and concentrate on their studies.
It will also support teachers in maintaining a healthier and more organized school environment.
Our ambition is to construct a durable toilet that will serve the current generation and many generations of learners to come.
We are calling upon donors and partners to help us turn this vision into reality.
A child cannot fully concentrate on building a future when their basic needs are neglected. Help us protect their education by supporting the construction of a new toilet.
support from our donors and development partners, F SSIBU Mission Foundation hopes to construct a durable sanitation facility that will serve generations of learners.
Please stand with Mwanyagiri pupils today. Together, we can create a healthier learning environment where every child has an opportunity to succeed.
