Dear friends,
On this International Children’s Day, let us remember that every child deserves to feel at home, even during the challenging journey of cancer treatment. Thank you for making it possible for children in wartime Ukraine!
We are happy to share exciting news about our new Dacha. After completing all the required paperwork, the construction site has recently been officially recognized as a residential house. While it may not be ready to welcome families just yet, this accomplishment marks a significant milestone towards our goal. The interior finishing works are currently in progress, along with the installation of necessary utilities and landscaping. Despite not being part of the initial plan, a bomb shelter has also been installed due to the ongoing Russian attacks, which have made it a necessity. Our goal is to inaugurate the new Dacha in 2023, and we look forward to that moment.
As we make preparations for the New Dacha to become operational, the renovated and equipped house in Neslukhiv, Lviv Oblast, continues to offer long-term accommodation for families with seriously ill children. Currently, two such families reside there: Bohdan from Melitopol and Mykyta from Kharkiv Oblast. These families dream of returning home once their treatments are complete and their cities and towns are freed from Russian occupation, similar to Elina whose story was previously highlighted. Elina's family has already achieved this goal and happily returned to their residence in Kharkiv Oblast after a successful bone marrow transplant in Lviv.
Thank you for supporting families with children on treatment in Ukraine!
