In May 2023 the nursery schools of Fina and Nefrelaye had to be closed due to insecurity.
In October 2023 we opened a new nursery school in Sipigui, but could not reopened the ones of Fina and Nefrelaye. The good news is that mid January the school could open in Fina with 67 children.
It will be a short school year for the children of Fina, but it is better than nothing.
For the school of Nefrelaye we do not know when the families will be back in the village. Based on the information from the few villagers who have gone back, the school building and equipment have not been damaged by the terrorists.
The nursery school educate the children but also give them some social skills. The villagers in the villages where we work are from various ethnical groups. The contact between the children at school will help the to understand each other.
Thank you for your support.
