An Initiative for Better Home4BetterLife

Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) is working for the betterment and livelihood improvement of the coastal community in Southern part of Bangladesh where coastal people live in and they are fully depending on nature. BEDS by the support of different organization developed a cooperative society namely BANOJIBI in coastal area where local women led this and proper functioning of these society improving gradually their local cooperative business. In livestock part of their business, they are rearing swan. That produce a amount for the society and that shared among the society so that they can improve their livelihood.

BEDS is currently trying to raise funds from GlobalGiving platform in order to help those marginal people in the way of income generation for their better future with better economic conditions. We also hope that through taking support from various corners they will be able to use their products for earning their sound livelihood.

People always think for clean and healthy environment. To make sure the environment clean, we always work for but Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) think about in different way. Through the cooperative initiative of BANOJIBI which can be a model where as garbage can be used for vegetable cultivation that could be reduce the fertilizer cost and natural production of vegetable. In that case, BANOJIBI cooperative society set up a kitchen garbage management where they dump the wastage in a hole for three months then sill these and after 6 months these decomposed waste use in the vegetable garden and that minimize the chemical fertilizer cost and improve the healthy life of human and nature.
