STRENGTHENING HOPE THROUGH LEARNING

By Othieno Gerald | Project Leader

Dear Friends,

We are deeply grateful for your continued support of our efforts to end child marriage and promote education among girls in rural Uganda. Your generosity is strengthening hope through learning and creating opportunities for vulnerable children.

This reporting period focused on encouraging girls to remain engaged in education while building confidence and resilience. Through mentorship activities and educational outreach, participants received guidance that reinforced the importance of learning and personal growth.

Many girls shared their dreams of pursuing professional careers and contributing positively to their communities. Through life-skills sessions, they gained practical knowledge in leadership, communication, and goal setting. These activities helped strengthen their confidence and motivation to continue their studies.

Parents and caregivers participated in awareness meetings designed to highlight the benefits of education and the dangers associated with child marriage. Many families expressed increased commitment to supporting their daughters and ensuring they remain in school.

Schools continue to play a critical role in supporting vulnerable students. Teachers reported positive improvements in attendance, participation, and classroom engagement among girls involved in project activities. These encouraging outcomes demonstrate the value of providing consistent support and encouragement.

Community leaders also strengthened advocacy efforts that promote child protection and educational success. Their involvement is helping create safer environments where girls can thrive and pursue their ambitions.

Hope grows when girls are given the opportunity to learn and succeed. Through your support, we are helping young people build brighter futures while creating lasting change within their communities.

Thank you for your continued partnership and generosity.
