Every year, our school improves school facilities to make it better for children learning. For example, for the last three months, we built five classrooms’ floors in our school. How these facilities improve students’ learning so, pleased read more.
Building Classroom Floor
In the last three months, we built nice classroom floors for our students in the school. The students are very happy to see the new, clean and nice floors in their classrooms. In the past, their only used plastic carpets. Teachers and students had difficulties to clean and broom it. They also had difficulties to move chairs and tables when they had group works.
After fixing and building the floors, the kids and the teachers enjoy teaching and learning in the classrooms.
Sokna, one of students expresses her feeling about learning with the new classroom floors and her passion. “Hello!, I am Sokna. “ I am very happy to come and learning with Salariin Kampuchea Learning Center very often because now my classroom is nice and clean. I can move chairs easily when I have pair work or group work with my friends in the class. Furthermore, we always help our teacher to clean our classroom. Before it is very hard and the dust comes out when we clean the floors. I feel comfortable to seat and study. Thanks for the school to make nice floors”.
New Mirror Whiteboards
Last month, we changed and installed new whiteboards for classrooms because the boards broken and they are hard to erase. Teachers and students have difficulties to clean after they wrote on the boards. Teachers and students are very happy for the new mirror whiteboards.
Bona, one of teachers expresses his feeling about new whiteboards. “Hello my name is Bona. I am very happy with the new whiteboards because it makes me easy to write and clean it after we wrote on the boards even students are easy to write on these boards. I think it is one of equality education too because if we have good teachers but we do not have appropriate teaching materials in class like whiteboard, it can effect to the teachers and students’ learning process”. Thanks for the support to have new whiteboards”
Keeping Hand-Washing to Avoid Coronavirus
Our children and parents are concerning coronavirus infection by hand touching their mouths, eyes and noises when their kids have touched something. To avoid dropout and concern of their parents and students, our school is providing hand washing activities every day before they attend in their classroom. In Cambodia at the moment about Coronavirus become less concern by community and parents. Hopefully, we teach kids how to keep their clean it can reduce concerns and dropout and they continue coming to learn at our learning center.
In the next three months, we will conduct reading activities to promote reading skills among children, we will conduct traffic law workshop to children and parenting meeting.
We would like to thanks everyone who supported us through GlobalGiving with your hard-earning money. Width your help we hope to continue and build upon the success of our non-formal education program.
We wish you happy New Year, every success, happiness and enjoy it with your family and friends!
